Sydney Marquez Located Safe After 3 Weeks Missing

A Texas woman has been located safely after being missing for three weeks, but her family remains concerned.

Sydney Marquez, 24, was discovered by a concerned citizen in Houston. On Friday morning, police reported finding her alive, safe, and uninjured.

Police released Marquez without informing her family, and they only learned of her discovery when a stranger called them.

According to her father, Marquez has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and the family does not consider the matter to be resolved. They have yet to contact the former Texas A&M student directly.

Marquez was last seen on December 11, 2025, walking away from a friend’s automobile that she had left running in the street. She was not taking her medication when she disappeared. Her family suspects she may have been having a mental health crisis when she vanished.
