Man Detained In Connection With String Of Miami-dade Commercial Burglaries

A Miami man was arrested last week in connection with a series of commercial burglaries, authorities confirmed.

According to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Shermann Darbouze, 43, burglarized various businesses throughout the county between April 21 and last Friday.

According to deputies, Darbouze would frequently throw a rock through the business’s front window to break in.

According to the arrest report, many burglaries were documented on surveillance cameras, and Darbouze was regularly seen wearing dark clothing and disguising his face with a T-shirt.

Deputies reported that a coin laundry was targeted on many occasions, and Darbouze left blood at the scene, which was gathered as evidence.

According to deputies, Darbouze targeted the laundry again early Friday morning as detectives were watching it.

Investigators arrested Darbouze and found him in possession of a crack pipe and around three crack pebbles.

The report states that Darbouze provided a statement to the detectives, but they redacted it from the publicly available report.

Darbouze was arrested for burglary of an unoccupied structure, possession of crack cocaine, grand theft, criminal mischief, petit theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

As of Monday morning, he was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $43,950 bond.
