Klugh was apprehended at the site, while Ruano allegedly fled on an electric scooter. According to court documents, Ruano rode along the street before returning to authorities, who arrested him.

According to investigators, people in the region were notified of suspicious behavior near their vehicles via Ring camera notifications. Both suspects told officers that they decided to see how many unlocked vehicles were in the vicinity, admitting to removing several items from inside them.

The two males are facing multiple accusations, including theft and criminal trespassing. They were sent to the Allegheny County Jail to await their arraignment.
