8 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Restaurant In South Carolina

An SUV crashed through the front of a restaurant in Greenville County, South Carolina, on Sunday, injuring eight people, according to officials.

The crash occurred at the Viva Chicken on Pelham Road near Interstate 85. The Boiling Springs Fire Department said that eight persons were injured in the incident three of them were classed as priority patients owing to the severity of their injuries.

Upon their arrival, emergency services provided medical care to the injured before transporting them to nearby hospitals. There were no other details regarding the victims’ conditions revealed right away.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking into the crash. Authorities have not disclosed information on what caused the SUV to leave the road or whether charges are likely.
