An 18-year-old Aveda Institute student was apprehended on January 5, 2026, for making written threats to commit a mass shooting, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Addison Gass of Largo allegedly shared a photo with a text overlay saying, “I’m about to shoot up this school” and “They done pissed me off.”
Deputies said that when they contacted Gass, she admitted to the position and voiced displeasure over a dress code violation. Gass was charged with one count of making written threats to commit a mass shooting.
