A 72-year-old Richland County man was arrested on aggravated voyeurism charges after investigators claimed he secretly photographed victims without their consent.
Michael Liggett was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of aggravated voyeurism.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said that he will be taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The investigation began on December 25, 2025, when a family member phoned investigators at the sheriff’s department headquarters and reported finding explicit images on Liggett’s cellphone.
The caller also mentioned uncovering a concealed camera in Liggett’s home.
Investigators later secured a search warrant for the home, where they discovered a second concealed camera and retrieved further evidence, according to police.
Deputies said they expect to identify more victims as the investigation continues.
