The Texas Department of Public Safety’s featured fugitive for January has been arrested thanks to a tip submitted through Crime Stoppers.
The man was apprehended near Houston on Wednesday after the tip was received.
Featured fugitive arrested
Antonio Rodriguez Jr., 28, was apprehended in Pasadena by DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Special Agents, Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Apprehension Team.
He was seen leaving an apartment complex following a reliable tip, according to a DPS announcement issued on Friday.
A Crime Stoppers reward will be given for the tip that led to Rodriguez’s arrest.
Who is Antonio Rodriguez Jr.?
Rodriguez has been convicted of multiple crimes since 2014, including car burglary, escape while arrested/confined, building burglary, avoiding arrest/detention, and driving while intoxicated with a kid under the age of 15. He was released from the TDCJ in January 2024.
Rodriguez has been wanted out of Harris County since August 2025 for robbery with bodily injury.
