A wanted fugitive from Texas was found and apprehended in northern Arizona, authorities said.
Michael Martin is wanted in Moore County, Texas, on multiple charges of aggravated sexual assault of a minor and indecency with a minor through sexual contact.
Martin, who was armed, was traveling across northern Arizona when he was stopped on US-89 near Flagstaff, according to the DPS.
Deputy Marshals seized two firearms and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition, according to the DPS. He was apprehended on January 6 and will be held in the Coconino County Jail while awaiting extradition.
“We appreciate the continued support of our community as we work together to keep Arizona safe,” DPS said in a Facebook post.
