DC Man Sentenced To 10 Year In Prison For Abduction And Attempted Rape On Metro Train

A D.C. man has been sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of abduction with the intent to defile and attempted rape, according to the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Alexandria.

The Alexandria Circuit Court delivered the sentence on January 8, 2026. The charges come from a sexual assault on February 3, 2024, in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard neighborhood.

Dykwon Perry Davis, 27, received a 50-year sentence for abduction, with 40 years suspended, and a 10-year sentence for attempted rape, with five years suspended. The sentences will run consecutively, for a total of ten years of active incarceration.

The court imposed conditions on the suspended sentence, which included lifetime supervised probation, sex offender registration, completion of a sex offender evaluation and any necessary treatment, substance abuse screening and treatment, and payment of prosecution costs.

In addition, a lifelong protective order was issued to keep Davis from contacting the victim.

Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter was disappointed with the sentence, stating, “This offense involved every citizen’s nightmare: a nighttime attack on a victim seemingly chosen at random, just hours after the defendant assaulted and exposed himself to another victim on the Metro in Washington, D.C.” My agency pushed for a 25-year active sentence.

Davis is now being held without bond at the William G. Truesdale Alexandria Adult Detention Center, awaiting transfer to the Department of Corrections.
