Police: Woman Shot And Another Stabbed After ‘altercation’ In Pittsburgh

Two women are injured after an “altercation” in Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Antrim Street in the Brighton Heights neighborhood shortly before 2 p.m. for a three-round ShotSpotter alarm, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

While on their way, officers received information about a woman who had been shot in the 3200 block of Richardson Avenue.

Officers arrived on Richardson Avenue and discovered a woman who had been shot in the chest. Officers treated her until medics came, then took her to an area hospital in severe condition.

Shortly later, another woman stabbed in the leg arrived at Allegheny General Hospital in a private vehicle, according to officials.

Both women were rushed to surgery right away.

Police think both women were involved in an “altercation” on Antrim Street before the shooting.

The private vehicle was hauled in as evidence, and detectives are still investigating.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
