A 4.3 magnitude earthquake was felt across several Texas cities this morning, January 26.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake struck at 4:22 a.m., around 23 kilometers southwest of Snyder, Texas.

The USGS received reports that the earthquake was felt in a number of Texas communities, including Snyder, Lubbock, Big Spring, Midland, and Odessa.
Lubbock, Big Spring, Midland, and Odessa all reported mild to light shaking, while Snyder reported intense shaking and very light damage.
According to the US Geological Survey, “There will likely be smaller aftershocks within the next week, with up to 4 magnitude 3 or higher aftershocks.”
“The number of aftershocks will decrease over time, but a large aftershock can temporarily increase the number of aftershocks,” added the USGS.
