Multiple People Discovered Dead In Hattiesburg Home

Three people were discovered dead at a Hattiesburg residence Tuesday afternoon.

Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem confirmed Tuesday evening that three persons had died at the residence and that all three were being autopsied.

The victims’ names were not revealed, and no information on how they died was supplied.

According to a news release from City of Hattiesburg Chief Communications Officer John Arender, HPD officers responded to a welfare check request at a home in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

In addition to HPD officers, Forrest County Sheriff’s deputies, Forrest County Coroner officials, Mississippi Bureau of Investigations agents, and animal control officers all attended to the incident.

According to neighbors, all of the deceased lived at the residence.

HPD says the inquiry is still ongoing.
