A Chicago man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly critically injuring another man during an attack on the city’s West Side earlier this week.
Curtis Conner, 43, was detained around 4:30 p.m. on Monday in the 5300 block of West Madison Street.
Conner was identified by police as the person who shot and critically injured a 38-year-old man on the same block around 20 minutes before.
He is charged with four felonies, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery causing grievous bodily harm, armed violence with a weapon, and a breach of sex offender registration.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.
Conner will appear in court for a detention hearing on Thursday.
