Two people were arrested during a drug trafficking investigation in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media Saturday that the four-month investigation, which involved various agencies from both states, was concluded on Thursday.

According to the office, the investigation concentrated on the distribution of heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine in several municipalities. Many people are said to have taken part.
On Thursday, officers conducted a traffic check on State Route 18 in Burgettstown. During the stop, 53-year-old Archie Orison of McDonald/Burgettstown was arrested and found with an unspecified amount of crack cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.
Orison was lodged in the Washington County Correctional Facility on a bench warrant and an arrest warrant out of Mount Pleasant Township, according to the office. Additional charges are pending.
Following Orison’s arrest, the Jefferson County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at a residence in Steubenville, Ohio. Authorities arrested a suspect after discovering cocaine, crack cocaine, and more than $15,000 in cash, according to the office.
The probe may lead to additional arrests, according to the office.
The investigation is being conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrant Unit, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the Pennsylvania State Police, Mount Pleasant Township Police, McDonald Borough Police, North Fayette Township Police, Robinson Township Police, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force.
