The officers found the vehicle at Audelia Road and Walnut Street. Officers were able to apprehend 35-year-old suspect Loi Lien.
Lien was asleep in the vehicle when he was arrested without incident.
Officers conducted the vehicle and discovered Lien’s property. During the examination of Lien’s premises, officers discovered evidence of more criminal behavior, including mail theft. The arrest resulted in many felony charges, but it also supplied important evidence that directly aided the US Postal Inspectors in their ongoing investigation.
Legal charges and federal involvement
Lien was taken to Dallas County Jail and charged with improper use of a motor vehicle, possession of identifiers, unlawful use of a criminal instrument, narcotics possession, and a theft warrant from Collin County.
