Gunman apprehended after home invasion and robbery in Wisconsin

One man is in custody after a home invasion and armed robbery in Wisconsin on Tuesday night.

According to a Madison Police Department police release, officers responded at 10:58 p.m. to a home on the 1300 block of Ruskin Street after a neighbor called 911 to report a disturbance with an armed man.

When officials arrived, they claim a woman unlocked a door and fled the house, shouting, “He’s got a gun.” Police then entered the home, detaining the moccurrence butan and discovering a handgun.

According to officers, the man broke into the victim’s home, demanded money, and took her phone, preventing her from calling for help.

The man and woman were said to know each other, and the woman had visible injuries. A child was at home at the time of the occurrence, but was unharmed.

Police arrested and lodged 32-year-old Adam Brooks into Dane County Jail on the following charges:
