Las Vegas couple taken into custody after child and dog test positive for meth

A couple is facing charges after police say a 7-year-old child and a dog tested positive for methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, February 3, Metro police arrested Brielle Biggs, 36, and Robert List, 36. Earlier that day, dispatchers received a call from Sunrise Hospital regarding a 7-year-old child who had tested positive for meth.

Biggs and List, who have other children, took the youngster to the hospital “because she was acting irregular” and “in an altered state,” according to records. Officers said the girl was “hallucinating in the hospital” and “wide awake.”

Biggs initially believed the child had “ingested something from the cleaning supplies she uses to clean the house,” according to the records.

Police discovered drugs and tablets during a home search, according to reports. During the search, officers discovered a Chihuahua-type dog that appeared “to be low energy,” according to records.

A blood test on the dog found that it was also positive for meth, according to authorities.

According to records, both parents face drug and child abuse accusations. In addition, Biggs is charged with animal mistreatment.

During a probable cause hearing on February 4, Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Suzan Baucum set bail at $15,000. Biggs and List remained in arrest on Monday afternoon.
