A South Carolina boutique owner faces a criminal charge after authorities say she scammed over 50 customers out of thousands of dollars.
Pamela Brooke Schronce, 30, was charged with breach/obtaining property under false pretenses after allegedly defrauding victims of over $10,000, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Schronce operates a clothing boutique in Anderson County.
Schronce was arrested in December for allegedly running a scam at the Upstate boutique.
According to the sheriff’s office, police have linked Schronce to at least 54 victims who placed orders but did not get them. Detectives reported that she “repeatedly provided fabricated excuses to explain the missing deliveries.”
According to authorities, the investigation lasted from September 2023 to December 2025 and resulted in a total consumer loss of $10,491.53.
Schronce has also been arrested for misdemeanor crimes in additional South Carolina counties, including Easley, Oconee, Fairfield, and Spartanburg.
She was booked in the Anderson County Detention Center.
