A woman taken into custody in Florida is being extradited to Indiana for her involvement in a fatal crash.
According to a Facebook post from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), Adria Wilkerson, 31, was arrested on Tuesday evening by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in Venice, Florida, on a GCSO warrant for reckless homicide.
Wilkerson is being held in Florida while awaiting extradition back to Indiana.
The arrest follows an investigation performed by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team into a head-on crash that killed a Marion woman on October 1, 2025.
According to authorities, a black BMW was driving westbound on SR 18 in front of Oak Hill High School when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a white Chevrolet. Witnesses told police that the BMW was driving “very erratically and recklessly just prior to the crash.”
Vicki Colley was extracted from her car following the collision and sent to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
In their statement, the GSCO stated, “The Grant County Sheriff’s Office extends its continued condolences to the family and loved ones of Vicki Colley.”
Additional details will be given when they become available.
