A Wildwood man was detained for driving with a suspended license on Morse Boulevard in The Villages.
A deputy saw 37-year-old Danny Lee Crosby driving a blue Ford Excursion on State Road 44 near Morse Boulevard around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the tag revealed that the vehicle’s registration had expired on August 19, 2025, resulting in a traffic stop.
Crosby has two active suspensions for failing to pay child support, according to a subsequent record check. He also has two prior guilty convictions for driving with a suspended license from Marion County on November 22, 2011, and Sumter County on November 29, 2012, according to the report.
Crosby was arrested for driving with a suspended license and taken to the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after paying a $500 bond.
