Ohio task force seize hundreds of grams in drugs and arrest 3 along U.S. 23 corridor

Hundreds of grams of drugs and a dozen weapons were seized last week as part of a law enforcement effort targeting trafficking in central Ohio.

According to a release from the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, the agency executed three drug-related search warrants in Ross County, resulting in the arrest of three people on active arrest warrants.

The arrests were a result of continuous aggressive operations to combat drug and weapons trafficking along the US 23 corridor in southcentral Ohio, which includes Ross, Highland, Hocking, Fayette, and Gallia counties.

Among the items seized during the execution of these warrants were the following:

  • Approximately 180 grams of methamphetamine
  • Approximately 28 grams of fentanyl
  • 12 firearms, including eight rifles
  • $,5,500 in U.S. currency

The task team calculated that the street value of confiscated drugs is roughly $20,000.

The three suspects in custody were apprehended on active warrants as the search warrants were being executed, although they had no direct connection to the search warrants themselves.

Carson McComis Jr. has been charged with narcotics possession, a fifth-degree felony. Adam Moore faces one count of tampering with evidence. Coty Kuhn is being jailed on parole holder and nonsupport of dependents accusations.
