Two people were detained early Thursday morning after officials discovered over half a pound of suspected methamphetamine during a drug raid in Findlay.

According to a press statement from the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force, investigators executed a narcotics search warrant at approximately 1 a.m. on February 26 at a home in the 2000 block of Elyria Street. During a search of the home, investigators said they uncovered 11 ounces of suspected methamphetamine as well as several things indicative of drug trafficking.

Tre Gerlach, 26, and Danielle Rall, 51, both from Findlay, were arrested and transported to the Hancock County Justice Center.

Gerlach was charged with complicity, which is a first-degree crime. Rall was charged with possession of drugs, which is a first-degree felony. According to officials, other accusations, such as drug trafficking and possession, are expected to be filed once the investigation concludes.

The METRICH Drug Enforcement Unit is supported by METRICH in Mansfield and partially funded by the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services. Authorities invite anyone with information regarding drug activity to call the METRICH Crime Tip Hotline at 419-522-7463 or use the agency’s mobile app to submit a tip.

The investigation is underway.
