4 People Arrested for Stealing Thousands from local store

On January 12, 2026, at around 2:35 p.m., officers were called to the Ulta store in South Lakeland for a recent theft. Store personnel stated that two females, subsequently identified as Deja Grooms and Sierra Lockwood, left the store with bags of products without paying. The two met Cedrianna Church, who was waiting outside the business. The three fled in a rental automobile. Back inside the store, the employee spotted another woman, Denise Wright, carrying a bag full of stuff.

When the employee asked if she could help her, Wright declined, claiming she needed to wait for her sister, who was in the restroom. Wright then laid down the bag of stuff and exited the building, meeting up with the black Volvo and fleeing the scene. No other females were found in the restroom.

The CCTV film revealed that Wright entered the business shortly after Grooms and Lockwood. Upon inventorying the items, investigators found that they had stolen approximately 49 products valued at $3,869.

Undeterred by almost being apprehended at the South location, the group was discovered at the North Lakeland Ulta barely over an hour later. At 3:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to the North Lakeland business to investigate a probable theft. Grooms, Church, and Wright entered the store. Grooms placed items in a bag but dropped them as anti-theft sensors began to sound.

As the three were leaving the business, investigators and LPD officers detained the women for interrogation. Three of the suspects acknowledged conspiring to deny Ulta the retail items after being questioned by Miranda.

Investigators discovered approximately $8,700 in stolen items during the initial search of the suspects’ vehicle.
