A Texas man is facing a drug charge after a traffic stop on I-10 led to the finding of cocaine, according to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley.
On Wednesday, shortly after 11 a.m., a traffic stop occurred near mile marker 40 on the eastbound lanes of I-10 in Biloxi. A deputy from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Division and a US Border Patrol agent stopped a black Jeep Wagoneer for a traffic violation.
Harrison County narcotics investigators responded and took up the case.
According to Haley, an investigation of the vehicle revealed 8.8 pounds of cocaine stashed within it.
The driver, Norbert Henry Jr. of Houston, Texas, was charged with cocaine trafficking and put into Harrison County Jail.
