The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is seeking assistance in locating two men wanted on arrest warrants for nearly a year following a fatal shooting at a restaurant on the city’s west side.
Three men are charged with the fatal shooting inside a Waffle House on South Lynhurst in February 2024.

One suspect has already been apprehended, but police have been unable to locate two others, including the man who prosecutors think fired the fatal shots.
Warrants were issued for the two missing suspects in April 2025, but the case remained sealed until January.
A gun duel inside the Waffle House resulted in over 50 bullets.
Five people were injured in the shootout, and one woman died while attempting to flee.
Officials claimed Saleem El-Amin, 30, has been charged with attempted murder.
Officials also charged Khayree Sims, 29, and Darrell Turner, 33, with murder, attempted murder, and battery.
Turner has been in jail since June, while El-Amin and Sims have been running from the law for nearly a year.
“We need your help. “We need the community’s assistance,” stated IMPD officer Tommy Thompson. “We want you to do the right thing. Step up and forward. Consider this victim whose life was lost. Think about the people who were shot during this tragedy. “We want to bring justice to these people.”
Crystal Kennebrew, 35, a Gary bar owner who was visiting Indianapolis for the NBA All-Star Game, was slain as a result of the violence.
According to an affidavit filed last April, Sims is accused of starting the deadly shootout by allegedly punching one of Kennebrew’s pals in the face.
Police interviewed more than a dozen witnesses and viewed security footage of the event.
That footage purportedly showed the man being assaulted pulling out a revolver and firing several bullets before fleeing to a washroom for safety. The gunfire injured Sims, El-Amin, and a third individual.
Court records state that during the confusion, “Kennebrew (was) trying to get away, and Khayree Sims (appeared) to shoot her.”
Sims and El-Amin survived their injuries, and investigators suspect they have been hiding in the Gary or Chicago areas.
Despite the fact that the incident occurred more than two years ago, police acknowledge that they require assistance in apprehending both fugitives.
According to IMPD, detectives have employed connections and resources from Indianapolis, the region, and the Chicago area but have been unable to identify the two individuals.
“We cannot do it alone. IMPD cannot do it alone. “It will take the community or family coming forward to help locate these two people,” Thompson added.
Turner is being jailed without bond in Marion County while awaiting trial in May.
