An Alabama man was apprehended in Georgia on various charges linked to prison contraband and drug trafficking, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Narcotics investigators were investigating a contraband incident in Elmore County on Tuesday when they arrested Jeffery Young.

Young is charged with conspiring to commit a controlled substance crime involving methamphetamine, fentanyl, and synthetic cannabinoids. He also faces first-degree accusations for unauthorized drone operation and encouraging jail contraband.
According to officials, Young has been apprehended in Baldwin County. He was later sent to Elmore County, where he is currently being held in the county jail.
According to officials, Young’s bond has been set at $4.5 million.
According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
