A former deputy sheriff has been arrested on simple assault charges, according to Richland County Sheriff’s Department officials.
On March 23, 2023, about 2:30 p.m., RCSD deputies responded to a home on Laurel Bluff Court for an assault that had occurred.
Tiffany Anderson, 45, was found to have repeatedly struck a victim, resulting in injuries. Following a verbal disagreement.
On Friday, Anderson was fired, arrested, and brought to the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center.
Her actions are inexcusable; it makes me angry to see someone who is entrusted with enforcing the law break it,” said Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott. “My deputies know I will hold them accountable.
Anderson had served with the sheriff’s department since July 2024.
