A woman and a man were slain in a shooting early Saturday on the city’s Near West Side, while another man was injured.
According to Chicago police, the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of West Roosevelt Road, near the Tri-Taylor area.
Two men, ages 24 and 25, and a 23-year-old woman were on a sidewalk when three armed suspects entered a vehicle and shot at them, according to police.
The 25-year-old male was shot in the ankle and transported himself to the hospital, where he was first reported to be in good health.
The woman and the other male were both shot many times, according to CPD. They were transferred to the hospital by CFD and later pronounced dead. Their identities were not yet known.
Police say the suspects fled the area in an SUV. There have been no arrests made.
There was no further information provided as Chicago police continued to investigate.
