Police: Former Little League Treasurer Accused Of Stealing $33,000 From Organization

A Susquehanna County woman is facing charges after state police said she misused thousands of dollars from a local youth baseball organization while serving as a leader.

According to investigators, Amy Skiba, 41, of Susquehanna, is accused of stealing more than $33,000 from the Susquehanna Area Little League over several years. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the alleged behavior took place between 2021 and 2025 and included illicit purchases and ATM withdrawals from the league’s checking account.

League officials reported the potential financial anomalies in December 2025, after seeing transactions that did not appear to be related to routine operations. Police say the total amount in question is $33,195.31.

Skiba has served as the organization’s treasurer since 2020. A prior league introduction stated that Skiba held numerous jobs, including treasurer, fundraising manager, and concession manager.

In that position, she was responsible for handling league finances, which included signing checks, managing monies granted by the board, keeping financial records, and developing budgets. She also handled fundraising by procuring sponsorships and planning events, as well as concession operations such as inventory purchases and sales tracking.

Authorities allege that she utilized her access to league accounts for personal advantage while in those positions.

State police said charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
