A driver accused in a fatal hit-and-run involving a child in Beaver County is in jail, according to authorities.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Rochester on Friday evening.

Details of the disaster were not immediately published, although officials confirmed that a child was killed as a result of the accident.
Rochester Police stated the accused driver was later apprehended. The suspect has not been publicly identified.
Authorities say the inquiry is still ongoing.
“The Rochester Police Department would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the child who died in this horrific tragedy,” the police said in a Facebook post.
