A Louisiana woman was arrested on Tuesday after deputies found drugs hidden inside a child’s toy during a traffic stop in St. Tammany Parish.
On June 17, deputies from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit stopped a Dodge Challenger on Highway 11 near Interstate 12 in Slidell.
During the stop, deputies discovered marijuana on the passenger, 56-year-old Sherida Graham of Sun, Louisiana. This discovery resulted in a thorough search of the car.
Authorities discovered approximately 362 grams of methamphetamine, 28 grams of marijuana, two THC vape cartridges, and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Investigators found that a children’s plush animal bag contained the majority of the meth. All of the artifacts were determined to be Graham’s.
She was charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
