Two people from DC, are facing charges after being accused of kidnapping a man at gunpoint and forcing him to withdraw money from ATMs, according to police.
The incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on May 10 in the 200 block of K Street NE.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) discovered that the man was on K Street when two persons seized him, placed a towel over his head, and beat him many times with a bat.
They put the man into their minivan and took him to several ATMs. According to police, the victim was then forced to withdraw money.
According to a police report acquired by DC News Now, the duo was armed and transported the victim to Maryland, where he was dropped near the Woodlawn Recreation Center. Prince George’s County police reported finding him with his hands shackled.
According to the report, two guys, 32-year-old Damon Middleton and 27-year-old Michael Alston, stole the victim’s social security card, bank card, phone, and vehicle.
As the inquiry progressed, detectives discovered the victim’s Dodge on the 100 block of Wilmington Place Southeast.
Middleton and Alston were arrested almost two months later, on July 11. They both faced charges of armed kidnapping.
