Police: Woman Boasted On Instagram Live About Stabbing At Miami 7-eleven

A Houston woman is charged with attempted murder in South Florida after investigators accused her of stabbing another woman at a Miami gas station, bragging about it, and taunting the victim on social media and livestreams.

According to police, Shakia Travon Jenkins, 29, was arrested on Friday.

According to Miami Police Department detectives, the stabbing occurred on July 15 inside the 7-Eleven at 690 NW 79th St. in the Liberty City neighborhood, but it all began with an altercation earlier that night at a North Miami Beach lounge.

According to police, Jenkins, who was born in Miami, became acquainted with the victim after meeting her on social media, but their friendship ended in 2024 following a fight at a Valentine’s Day party.

According to an arrest complaint, the two met at Uncut Miami on 337 NW 170th St., argued until they were forced out, and then arranged to fight at a 7-Eleven nearby.

According to authorities, the two arrived at the gas station about 2:30 a.m. and began fighting. According to police, the woman saw a “sharp object” puncturing her face and yelled, “She’s stabbing me!”

According to police, the victim drove to the adjacent Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Northside District station to seek assistance.

According to the complaint, the victim handed MDSO officers video footage of the incident as well as an Instagram Live video of Jenkins gloating about stabbing her.

“Stabbed that ho and then stabbed that ho and then,” police say she can be heard saying. “OK, so who else wants—you want to get stabbed next, b—-?”

They claim she then said, “Call me Chucky and Michael Myers, ho,” twice.

“I have to go to the airport in a minute,” Jenkins subsequently stated on the livestream, according to the story. “I’m not from Florida.”

During an interview later that morning, police said the victim displayed a continuing Facebook Live feed in which Jenkins continued to boast about the crime.

“I’m not sorry, bitch.” “At all,” she answered, according to cops. “I’ll do it again.”

According to the story, Jenkins then admitted to her audience that she wished she had killed the victim.

According to the story, “I would have been happy, smiling on my mugshot knowing how you are good and dead and not coming back,” she claimed.

Police say she continued to harass the victim.

“Your kids would have been on the news crying, ho,” Jenkins replied, according to authorities. “They would have set up a GoFundMe. I would have been happy because, guess what? “I would have accomplished it.”

According to police, she subsequently posted on Facebook that she “just boarded (her) flight” and, after landing in Houston, “Damn, I wish it was a little sharper,” accompanied by a sad and praying emoji.

They stated she then altered her profile image to one of a McDonald’s employee detained in Michigan for allegedly stabbing her manager to death, subsequently claiming in a TikTok video that she should have dressed as the culprit.

According to authorities, she stated on the recordings, “I’m mad; I don’t even have an appetite.” I figured the hoe would be the appetizer. I wish that hoe had died for real,” adding that she should have “finished” her off and told the victim that she was “truly going to kill” her.

Jenkins returned to her hometown in South Florida and is expected to stay for some time.

Police say she was arrested at Miami International Airport while waiting to board a trip back to Houston.

Aside from the attempted first-degree murder accusation, she faces charges of written threats to kill or cause bodily harm and felon in possession of a firearm, according to police, because she has been convicted of grand theft in Florida and fraud in Texas.

As of Monday morning, she was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
