Over the weekend, many police units in Luzerne County collaborated in a DUI checkpoint enforcement operation, which resulted in six persons facing various charges.
Courtdale Police, together with Fairview Township, Wright Township, Larksville Borough, Wilkes-Barre Township, and Jackson Township Police, conducted a DUI checkpoint.
Over 350 cars were pulled over between Friday’s DUI checkpoint in Courtdale and Saturday’s roving traffic enforcement patrols in Courtdale and Luzerne, according to police.
As a result, the following instances were investigated:
- One DUI
- One drug investigation
- Two underage drinking offenses
- One wanted person arrested
- One fraudulent document investigation
33 traffic fines were issued, including child safety restraint, suspended driving, driving without a license, inspection, and speeding.
