On August 13, officers saw a narcotic sale in a parking lot on the 300 block of Smallwood Drive. Police stopped the car, and Domanic Marks-Wiggins, 28, of Washington, D.C., jumped out and fled on foot. A loaded 9mm handgun and cannabis were found in his vehicle.

Marks-Wiggins, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior felony conviction for a violent crime, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm without a serial number, and other related offenses.

On August 18, investigators executed a search warrant at Diontay Hattix’s, 39, Tadcaster Circle home. Hattix had previously been seen in the same location, allegedly at a drug sale. The search turned up a large number of cannabis products prepared for sale, currency, drug packaging supplies, a handgun with an obliterated serial number, ammo, and high-capacity extended magazines.

Hattix was arrested on the scene and charged with possession with intent to distribute cannabis, illegal possession of a weapon, and other drug- and firearm-related felonies.
