A former major in the Cuban Ministry of the Interior and alleged godson of Fidel Castro has been taken into custody in Hialeah on drug charges.
Police say Rogelio Izquierdo, 43, was captured during a narcotics investigation on Sunday.
According to the arrest report, an officer discovered a clear plastic bag containing what seemed to be cocaine in his pocket.
Izquierdo was detained on cocaine possession charges.
