ICE Houston detained over 800 immigrants in Southeast Texas during a week-long operation, according to the agency.

The Southeast Texas operation lasted a week, from August 17 to August 23.
According to the agency, those apprehended included “criminal aliens, transnational gang members, child predators, foreign fugitives, and other egregious immigration offenders.”
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the DEA, the ATF, the Diplomatic Security Service, the FBI, the United States Marshals Service, and the Texas Department of Public Safety all supported ICE.
More than 800 detained
According to ICE, 822 people were detained during the operation.
According to ICE, 330 of them had previously been ordered to be removed from the United States, and about 112 had already been deported and unlawfully re-entered the country.
Officials reported apprehending five transnational gang members and seven child predators. Three immigrants have reportedly been convicted of homicide-related offenses.
