Indiana Man Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison For Kidnapping Girlfriend And Children On Violent Road Rampage

An Indiana man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, with two years suspended, for kidnapping his girlfriend and her young children before going on a violent spree from Elkhart to Indianapolis, according to authorities.

The alleged series of crimes began on January 17, 2024, when Honorable allegedly shot his 61-year-old grandfather in Elkhart. He is currently awaiting trial for the shooting, as well as several other offenses in northern Indiana.

Shortly after the incident, Honorable allegedly pushed his girlfriend and her two children, a 7-year-old girl and a 7-month-old baby who were not his own, into a car at gunpoint. The woman claimed Honorable hit her repeatedly and fired his weapon at least 30 times while traveling to Indianapolis.

When Honorable arrived in Indianapolis, he allegedly forced his girlfriend to stop at a gas station to buy wine and cigarillos. He allegedly told her to “sell herself” for the money. When Honorable returned, she attempted to throw the 7-month-old infant from the car seat and yank the 7-year-old child out the rear passenger window. When he was unable to remove the infant, he put a revolver at her head and fired, but missed.

Honorable then ordered the mother to ditch her 7-year-old in the petrol station, leaving him sobbing in the parking lot. The mom returned to reclaim her daughter after briefly driving away from Honorable’s control.

After forcing his partner to drive him to a Chase bank, she sped away, leaving him behind to protect herself and their child. Honorable shot 11 bullets through an ex-girlfriend’s door, but no one was hurt.

Police found the 7-year-old kid at the first gas station, when she fled into her mother’s arms. While authorities were dealing with the mother and child, Honorable arrived in a stolen van and allegedly warned them, “I’ll die before I tell you who I am.”

Honorable resisted arrest by kicking and grappling with policemen, who eventually put him in arm and leg restraints and secured him in a police van.

The Marion County sentencing brings an end to a traumatic case of domestic violence, kidnapping, and weapons crimes, emphasizing the gravity of his crimes and the victims’ bravery in surviving the ordeal.
