Man Apprehended In Elkhart County For Parole Violation Related To Child Molestation

A 42-year-old man wanted in St. Joseph County was apprehended in Elkhart Friday morning.

Ambrose Lofton, 42, was wanted on probation violations related to multiple counts of child molestation.

Lofton was apprehended in the 2900 block of Cassopolis Street by the St. Joseph County Warrants Team, with help from the FBI and the Mishawaka Police Department.

According to police, Lofton is a noncompliant, sexually violent predator.

He has been booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.
