Two Central Florida men were recently taken into custody for racing on Interstate 4.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office detained two Tampa men after they were discovered speeding on Interstate 4 near Davenport.

Around 2:09 a.m., a Polk County deputy noticed a tan Honda Civic and a black Volkswagen Passat swerving through traffic at 105 mph. The speed limit in that area is 70 mph.

A traffic stop was conducted on both vehicles, and the drivers were arrested without incident. They were identified as Micah Crouch and Christian Gonzalez Cornelio, both 23 years old.

According to police, the two were brought to the Polk County Jail and charged with Dangerous Excessive Speed (above 100 MPH) and Racing.

According to the local deputy, both individuals were astonished to be arrested for their activities.
