“We are aware of the situation involving our employee. Please know that we take all matters related to the safety and well-being of our students and staff very seriously. He has been placed on administrative leave,” a spokesperson for the school told FOX13.

Wiseman has been charged with drug distribution for his alleged role in the scheme.

A resource officer with the Memphis-Shelby County School District was also arrested in the years-long investigation. According to the FBI’s indictment, Aashan Roach, a resource officer working out of the MSCS district building, traveled to Miami with several other defendants to meet with undercover agents posing as cartel members. According to the FBI, Roach received a bribe of $6,500 to protect the transportation of 25 kilograms of cocaine.

The FBI charged 20 people in the case, including two sheriffs and 12 other members of Mississippi law enforcement.
