A Michigan man was detained for allegedly messaging an undercover officer with the intention of meeting up with a child for sex Friday.
According to a Toledo Municipal Court affidavit, Jermaine Taylor, 26, allegedly used a messaging app to send sexually explicit communications to an undercover officer, whom Taylor believed was a 9-year-old child.
Taylor, a Harrison Township resident, went to Toledo, where he expected to meet a minor. Police arrested him and charged him with third-degree felony importuning and second-degree felony attempted criminal activity.
