Two men from Indiana were arrested after their “Ford vs. Chevy” antics escalated into dangerous street racing on a public roadway.
According to WFIE, Trey Wheeler, 20, and Cameron Kessler, 21, were arrested on Tuesday after reportedly engaging in a street race.
According to the Evansville Police Department, an officer noticed the suspects driving at 81 mph in a 30-mph zone.
The police reported that they had to accelerate aggressively to stay ahead of the criminals. Both drivers eventually pulled over their trucks and were arrested, according to the station.
Wheeler allegedly told investigators that he and Kessler were simply being “stupid” and participating in “Ford vs. Chevy” pranks, according to WFIE.
Both drivers face the following accusations, according to WFIE:
They were hauled to the Vanderburgh County Jail and then released after posting a $100 bond, according to the station.
