A Kansas City woman arrested with more than two ounces of methamphetamine during a Cooper County traffic stop has been sentenced to prison.
This past December, a state trooper executing routine stationary traffic enforcement on I-70 near Boonville observed a driver with an expired temporary tag. After stopping Dawn Levi, the trooper discovered she was on probation for possessing a stolen car and a prohibited narcotic. Levi, according to the trooper, was acting nervously and acknowledged to recent drug use, and she and her passenger provided different information about their travel intentions.

During a check of Levi’s car, the trooper found two pipes with white residue, a digital scale with white residue, and 2.08 ounces of methamphetamine.
At her arraignment on Monday, Levi pled guilty to first-degree narcotics trafficking. She was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
