Over the last several years, theft has victimized over 50 residents at a Clermont County nursing home. Detectives believe they know who did it.
Christina Williams, the former office manager at Venetian Gardens Nursing Home in Colerain, has been suspected of stealing more than $300,000 from residents, according to Goshen Township Police Chief Bob Rose.
In May 2025, police got a first theft report.
The report accuses a former employee of skimming money from resident accounts. The case was assigned to the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit.
After a nearly year-long investigation, Detective-Sergeant Chris McMillan and his team found that the suspect, Williams, 51, had been stealing money for years.
A Clermont County Grand Jury indicted Williams on 56 counts of felony theft last week, according to Rose.
I am proud of the exceptional work of Detective-Sergeant Chris McMillan, who led this investigation. With more than 50 victims, he spent hundreds of hours analyzing financial records and preparing what were essentially dozens of individual cases spanning several years. His persistence, attention to detail, and commitment to the victims were instrumental in advancing this case.

The police chief says that Venetian Gardens personnel have completely cooperated with authorities in the current inquiry.
Williams is currently in the Clermont County Jail. She is being jailed on a $30,000 bond, according to jail records.
