Two men have been charged with leading suburban Chicago police on a chase in a stolen vehicle that was linked to multiple previous pursuits.
Elmhurst police said officers were alerted at 3:10 p.m. on March 11 to a vehicle entering the city that had previously been reported stolen in Chicago and was carrying freshly stolen license plates.

According to police, the silver Honda CR-V escaped from cops in Naperville on March 10, as well as Aurora and Downers Grove on March 11.
Elmhurst cops saw the vehicle driving north on York Street near Vallette Street and followed it onto St. Charles Road. As the car approached the eastbound ramp on I-290, officers employed a tire deflation device.
Officials claimed the vehicle drove east on the highway before leaving at 17th Avenue and coming to a stop around Second and Harvard avenues in Maywood with three flat tires. Several individuals then fled the vehicle.
Officers from multiple nearby agencies scoured the area, assisted by a Chicago police helicopter. Police apprehended two individuals at First Avenue and Roosevelt Road. The third suspect was not apprehended.
Abdulhafedh H. Abdulhafedh, 25, of Aurora, was charged with possessing a stolen car, having stolen license plates, and obstructing a police officer.
Wenzel C. Draper, 32, of Chicago, was charged with possessing a stolen car and stolen license plates.
Both guys were transported to the DuPage County Judicial Center for their initial court appearance.
