A Las Vegas woman was detained on Tuesday for allegedly shipping drugs to a Riverside County jail via the US Postal Service in January, according to authorities.
According to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Sabrina Triguero was arrested and lodged into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center for alleged narcotics trafficking following a months-long investigation that began in January.

After deputies discovered evidence that “members of the public were working with inmates to smuggle narcotics into the Larry Smith Correctional Facility via the United States Postal Service,” they launched an investigation.
According to the announcement, deputies identified Nancy N. Dominguez, 40, of Rialto, as the inmate who received the pills, in addition to Triguero. According to investigators, the pair coordinated supplies by mail.
On Tuesday, a search warrant was issued at Triguero’s residence in the 3000 block of W. Lake Mead Boulevard in North Las Vegas, where she was apprehended. The warrant was executed with the assistance of the North Las Vegas Police Department SWAT Team and the North Las Vegas Regional Offender Drug Enforcement Operations Task Force. During the search, more than a half ounce of suspected methamphetamine and evidence relevant to the jail drugs smuggling investigation were discovered,” the release stated.
Deputies stated that the case would be sent to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
