The United States has issued a warning for four different states to prepare for 60-80 MPH winds on Wednesday night.
Four states in the United States—Nevada, California, New Mexico, and Texas—are bracing for strong winds Wednesday evening.

“Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes are likely across the southern and central Plains this afternoon and evening,” the NWS announced.
“Strong to severe storms are also possible in parts of the Ohio Valley, central Appalachians, and Mid-Atlantic.”
Wind gusts of more than 60 miles per hour are likely in California from this morning until Friday. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph are likely in New Mexico until 6 p.m. MST this evening.
Meanwhile, in Texas, wind gusts of more than 65 mph are expected until 11 p.m. C.T. this evening.
Finally, wind gusts of more than 80 miles per hour are possible throughout Nevada until Thursday evening.
“Dangerous winds will knock down trees and electrical lines. Widespread power outages are likely. The National Weather Service cautioned that travel will be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
“Now is the time to secure loose outside things like patio furniture, holiday decorations, and garbage cans before winds intensify and blow them away. The best thing to do is plan ahead of time by having extra food and water, flashlights with additional batteries, and/or candles in case of a power outage.”
