Three women are charged with organized retail theft for allegedly stealing $32,000 worth of baby formula.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Debreka Anderson, Elizabeth Hutchins, and Geraldine Kitchen targeted several retailers in Broward, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, and Polk counties between November 2024 and January this year.
The stores included Publix, Target, Winn-Dixie, CVS, and Walmart.
There were 47 separate incidents in which individuals were accused of entering establishments with huge bags, handbags, or covered baby strollers, filling them with cans of baby formula, and then walking out without paying.
The charges are likely to be prosecuted as part of a statewide organized retail theft investigation.
