A man from Cincinnati’s Bond Hill neighborhood was detained after cops say he threatened a family with a knife and later intentionally crashed his vehicle in separate incidents early Sunday morning.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a home in Franklin Township shortly before 1:30 a.m. after receiving allegations of a man threatening occupants with a knife.

The suspect has been identified as Anthony Long. According to authorities, Long approached the home and threatened a man with a knife. There were no injuries recorded.
Family members told deputies they were scared during the encounter, which happened outside their home. The suspect fled the scene before cops arrived.
Shortly after the incident, Clearcreek Township police responded to a report of road rage. According to police, Long allegedly followed another driver home and purposely struck the vehicle’s bumper in an attempt to run the driver off the road.
The driver visited the Clearcreek Township Police Department, where authorities made contact with Long. Authorities said he did not initially obey directions, and officers discovered a folding knife inside his vehicle.
Long was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, one case of aggravated trespass, and one act of criminal damage or endangering.
He is currently being held at the Warren County Jail on a cash bond.
The incidents remain under investigation.
